Coconut is my beloved travel cat that I live with. She is a sweet and stubborn cat friend that I learn so much from. No need to please everyone. Coconut goes her own way and sings her own songs. She is committed to and lives life for herself.

 

The portrait of her as a travel cat was inspired by Sierra Ferrell, a singer songwriter from west virginia. I have always loved singing with my guitar, but I have forgotten. When I first saw Sierra playing her guitar and singing her songs, it reminded me of what makes me happy and I received encouragement. Not long after that, a neighbor randomly gave me a beautiful acoustic guitar and I felt a kind of synchronicity.
