I have a memory of listening to the radio while rocking my baby in the air when I had just become a mother. There was a classical music tune with piano playing on the radio. When I heard it, my heart trembled, I felt nostalgic. and it became a precious moment that I will never forget. I wanted to draw a traveling cat dedicated to myself as a mother and to all mothers. Kiesha soon arrived with three kittens named Goma, Quinoa, and Chia.

 

I made a club called the Sunset Club when my daughter was a toddler. It’s just my husband Tony my daughter Sola and me. In summer, we used to go on the roof every night and watch the sun go down. So the summer air I felt with Keisha and the babies led me to the twilight time. 

 

自分が母になったばかりの頃、赤ちゃんの宙を抱っこしてゆれながら、ラジオを聞いていた思い出がある。

そしてラジオから、なつかしいクラシックの音楽が聴こえてきた。とても大好きな曲で、一気にハートが震えて、その瞬間が一生の忘れられない宝物になった。

 

母として赤ちゃんと一緒に過ごした自分に捧げる１匹の猫を描きたいと思ったら、キイシャがやってきた。３匹の子猫の名前はゴマ、キノア、チア。夕焼けをみにいこう。
